Individuals with kidney problems should talk to their doctor about how much protein is safe for their diets.Dr. Sue Pedersenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07864506443463982355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6974415611665584566.post-74898163868346207602011-06-14T00:43:32.423-06:002011-06-14T00:43:32.423-06:00Making certain you get at least one gram per pound...Making certain you get at least one gram per pound of bodyweight each day is one of FLEX's muscle-building tenets.build muscleshttp://www.truthaboutsixpacks.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6974415611665584566.post-21621020065270627982010-11-23T14:19:24.492-07:002010-11-23T14:19:24.492-07:00Sandy, thanks for your comment!

However, while I am a huge advocate for exercise, it is possible to achieve weight loss with diet alone. In fact, most weight loss comes from decreasing caloric intake, with only a minor contribution from exercise, except for the rare case where an individual exercises quite a bit and is careful not to compensate for this exercise by increasing caloric intake (a common error). Some people who suffer with extreme obesity are unable to move much, until they start to shed pounds by decreasing their caloric intake. From there, providing it is safe for their heart etc, we can gradually introduce exercise to facilitate continued weight loss.Dr. Sue Pedersenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07864506443463982355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6974415611665584566.post-36900945139786748222010-11-23T14:08:48.747-07:002010-11-23T14:08:48.747-07:00Dieting only works to achieve weight loss if used ...Dieting only works to achieve weight loss if used with regular exercise. Cardio is extremely effective at helping build abs. This type of exercise accelerates the heart rate thus, the body spends more energy. Intense cardio workouts such as jogging, walking, cycling and aerobics increase metabolism and burn calories.SandyDoesCardioExerciseshttp://exercisesforabs101.org/exercises-for-absnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6974415611665584566.post-33622834540754780412010-08-12T04:10:21.687-06:002010-08-12T04:10:21.687-06:00I totally agree with what you said. I for one have achieved my desired body weight by reduced food intake plus a little cardio exercise. Now I am shifting to butt exercise to focus on the butt muscle and eventually move to abs exercise.ivy on butt exercisehttp://bestbuttexercises.ca/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6974415611665584566.post-8551974140493668222010-07-28T17:13:52.824-06:002010-07-28T17:13:52.824-06:00Thanks, Garin! I've noticed that to really burn calories it takes both smart eating, and daily exercise.

One food I have started eating recently to help me feel full longer is Salba. Salba is very nutritious and takes on many times its weight in water so I feel full for much longer. It is also high in Omega 3's and antioxidants.

Thanks for making the link between fitness and nutrition, it's so important to always be health aware! :)Garin Kilpatrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01757333917877684605noreply@blogger.com
