Hi Dr. Sue, a few CON-YYC dietitians use the app YouFood which is a visual food diary. You just take a picture of everything you eat. It's much quicker and easier than something like my fitness pal, although you get only a qualitative assessment versus quantitative. Nonetheless, it's great to look back at the end of the day and review your eating. You can keep it private or choose to do it with a friend or two, your dietitian, or they'll match you up anonymously with similar users, so there's the potential for support.
